Post-operative Care

Post-operative care is a critical aspect of healthcare, demanding the expertise of qualified professionals. NDIS community nursing care offers essential support through a team of well-trained and certified nursing staff.

In Melbourne, CIKZ Healthcare stands as a trusted provider of community nursing care services for NDIS beneficiaries. We offer a comprehensive range of top-quality nursing services, adaptable to various scenarios, including:

  • Post-surgery recovery

  • Recuperation after an illness

  • The transition period after hospital discharge, prior to returning home

  • When intensive nursing care is necessary

  • 24/7 care, including overnight stays

Our NDIS community nursing services encompass but are not limited to:

  • Visiting nurse and assessment: A nurse visits you at prearranged times to provide wound care and other essential services, monitoring vital signs as prescribed by your doctor to track your recovery progress and make any necessary adjustments.

  • Medication administration/supervision: Our nurses ensure you receive your prescribed medications according to the doctor's schedule, which may include administering injections not feasible for your regular caregiver.

  • Vital sign monitoring: For individuals with critical disabilities, vigilant monitoring of vital signs is paramount. Our trained nurses oversee vital signs, including managing ventilators and other life support equipment. They document any changes or anomalies and promptly alert the doctor or hospital in case of an emergency.

Our nursing staff also offer a diverse range of services, such as wound care, stoma care, palliative care, enteral or tube-feeding support, ventilator support, urinary management, continence management, diabetes management, continence management, post-operative care, medication supervision, transition care programs, bowel care, and catheter assistance.

The advantages of NDIS Community Nursing with CIKZ Healthcare are numerous, making it an essential resource for individuals with disabilities:

  • Affordability: Post-operative hospital stays can be costly, especially with limitations on medical insurance. Opting for in-home care or NDIS center-based nursing services is a more budget-friendly choice, ensuring essential care at a lower cost.

  • Specialized Care: NDIS community nursing care offers specialized services. Our nursing staff are certified and licensed professionals, delivering the same level of expert care found in hospitals.

  • NDIS Funding: NDIS community nursing care is funded by NDIS for eligible participants, alleviating the financial burden on family members.

  • Faster Recovery: Expert nursing care promotes swifter patient recovery through regular monitoring, medication and injection administration, wound care, and more.

  • Lightens the Caregiver's Load: Regular caregivers often lack the expertise required for nursing care. With a trained nurse available to care for the patient, caregivers gain respite to attend to personal and professional commitments.

  • Prevents Relapse: A common concern post-surgery or illness is the possibility of relapse. NDIS community nursing care services diminish this risk by providing trained nurses to monitor the patient and alert the doctor in case of any warning signs.
